How to use & FAQ
Will this photo be accepted for a passport?
The tool helps with dimensions and placement; it cannot approve an application. Korean and Japanese presets are 35×45 mm, and the US preset is 2×2 inches. Check expression, background and recency against official rules. Korean passport rules specifically reject artificially removed backgrounds.
What if automatic positioning is wrong?
Move the crop box or resize it with its corners. The head, chin and eye guides are adjustable too. With several people, detection uses the most confident face; check that it is the intended person.
What does DPI change?
DPI is the number of dots per inch in print. At 300 DPI, 35×45 mm rounds to 413×531 pixels. PNG and JPEG include the print density. In the print dialog, choose actual size or 100% and turn off fit-to-page scaling.
How do I print several copies?
Choose a 4×6-inch or L-size sheet. Copies keep their physical size and are arranged with 3 mm gaps. Ask your printer or photo lab to avoid automatic cropping and scaling.
How can I change the background?
Follow Edit background in Cutout, select the person and a background color, then return to ID photo. Your edit carries over. For passports and official IDs, check restrictions on digital alterations before using background editing.
Is my face photo uploaded?
No. On first use, face positioning needs a model of about 0.22 MB plus its runtime. Download starts only after your confirmation, and processing stays in your browser. Remove stored models in Settings or Data management.

AI files are stored in your browser. Connecting a save folder moves them into its models folder, where new downloads are also saved. You can export or delete them here. Disconnecting a folder leaves its existing files in place.
Websites cannot open Explorer or read a folder’s full path. Enter the connected folder’s full path once to copy its models path.
